Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, February 8?
By Matt Moore
Mondays are always rough but this one is especially difficult for the millions who stayed up to enjoy Super Bowl LV last night. Maybe a brand new The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will help with the recovery?
The Late Show and Stephen Colbert were in the mix on Super Bowl Sunday. Colbert was featured in the commercial for Paramount Plus streaming, one of the night’s best. Then, The Late Show aired a special Super Bowl episode after the game that included interviews with Robert Downey, Jr. and Tiffany Haddish as well as a performance by Metallica.
Colbert will be back to work on Monday. There is a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
It should be a big night on The Late Show as the country prepares for former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial. Expect another razor-sharp monologue from Colbert before he turns to the interview portion of the show.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?
First, Stephen Colbert will interview Queen Latifah. The actress stars in the new CBS crime drama The Equalizer. It’s a reboot of the series that ran on CBS from 1985 to 1989. The franchise was rebooted again in 2014 with a film starring Denzel Washington.
Colbert will likely ask Queen Latifah what drew her to this project. Not too many people would picture her in this kind of role but she could surprise a lot of audiences with her performance.
Then, Steven Yeun will join the show. The former Walking Dead star can now be seen in Minari, a film about a South Korean immigrant family in 1980s rural America. It made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival and is coming to theaters on Feb. 12.
Anyone familiar with Yeun’s past late night TV interviews know he is a very engaging and entertaining guest. Expect nothing different when he checks in with Stephen Colbert.
