Last Week Tonight with John Oliver season 8 start date announced

The eighth season of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is on the way
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will return for its eighth season on HBO. New episodes are set to begin on Feb. 14.
Season seven wrapped up on Nov. 15. John Oliver said goodbye to 2020 with a little help from his latest obsession, Adam Driver. It closed out a year in which Oliver covered the novel coronavirus pandemic and the 2020 presidential election as well as anyone on television.
Since then, things haven’t exactly quieted down. President Donald Trump refused to concede, something Oliver discussed in his finale, and instead challenged the election through countless lawsuits. The pandemic continued to rage, President-elect Joe Biden’s victory was certified, and the Capitol was attacked by insurrectionists.
Added all together, it means that Last Week Tonight will have a lot to catch up on when it returns on Feb. 14. HBO released a trailer to remind fans just what they’ve been missing with Oliver on hiatus.
