Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue looked at how people are getting off the ride after President Donald Trump’s defeat

The Trump Train derailed over a month ago but that hasn’t stopped President Donald Trump from trying to push forward in hopes of four more years. But as Jimmy Kimmel pointed out, the number of supporters along for the ride is dwindling.

On Monday, the electoral college affirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. The legal challenges brought forward by President Trump’s team never gained traction and led to more embarrassing moments than bombshell revelations about voter fraud.

The current president has yet to publicly concede or directly acknowledge that he lost the election. There appears to be no plans to do so as President Trump continues to tweet out conspiracy theories and suggest that his legal fight is just getting started.

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue took a look around the Trump Train to see who was still left standing. What the late night host found was that Senator Mitch McConnell and Russian President Vladimir Putin appear to have found their stop.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Squattergate report rolls on

Jimmy Kimmel knows that Sen. Mitch McConnell publicly calling Joe Biden “president-elect” isn’t a good sign for President Trump. Like the rest of late night, Kimmel has routinely called out the GOP for its blind loyalty to the president. That dedication was supposed to ensure that President Trump got a second term one way or another but it’s clear that the plan is falling apart.

However, Kimmel isn’t ready to applaud Sen. McConnell for congratulating President-elect Biden. The comedian slips in an insult or two while also referencing the delay in passing a relief bill.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Russian President Vladimir Putin even sent a congratulatory message to Joe Biden. Kimmel refers to Putin as President Trump’s “KGBFF” and imagines that this especially stung President Trump.

If President Trump is looking around and seeing fewer and fewer supporters, he shouldn’t be surprised. The election results were known weeks ago and the electoral college vote was a formality. However, if the president does need a new admirer, Jimmy Kimmel thinks the elector in Texas may be the perfect fit.

With a little more than a month to go until President-elect Biden’s inauguration, there is still time for more seats to empty on the Trump Train. Keep an eye out for Kimmel’s “#Squattergate” report to know who is getting off the ride and who is taking it to the end of the line.
