Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, November 21?
By Matt Moore
What should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see tonight on NBC?
After getting out to a successful start, Saturday Night Live took its first break of season 46 last week. What should fans expect tonight?
Starting with Chris Rock and running through to Dave Chappelle, SNL has received a strong bump in ratings thanks to the extra attention brought by the election. Add in recurring appearances by Jim Carrey as former Vice President Joe Biden and Maya Rudolph as Senator Kamala Harris and it’s easy to see why so many people have been watching SNL this season.
So will Carrey and the cast be back tonight? Or is it another week off for the team at Studio 8H?
There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live. In an uncommon move, the show aired six consecutive episodes to start the season. It is understandable that the cast and crew would take some extra time before gearing back up after the Thanksgiving holiday.
There is still plenty of Saturday Night Live content to enjoy
NBC will still air repeat episodes of SNL tonight. First, at 10:00 p.m. you can catch the season 39 episode hosted by Kerry Washington with Eminem as the musical guest. Then, at 11:30 fans can revisit this season’s episode hosted by Bill Burr with musical guest Jack White.
Here at Last Night On, we have a number of posts covering SNL stories and vintage sketches. Here are just a few you may want to check out:
