Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, October 23?
By Matt Moore
What should Real Time with Bill Maher fans expect to see tonight on HBO?
It was another wild week of news, complete with everything from a presidential debate to a Borat bombshell. Added up, it makes for a lot of discussion topics for Real Time with Bill Maher.
Last time fans heard from Bill Maher, he was laughing at Rudy Giuliani’s attempt at an “October surprise” in the form of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop. Things have only gotten worse for Giuliani with the release of a clip from Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm.
Meanwhile, his boss has endured another tough week. Polls continue to favor former Vice President Joe Biden, the coronavirus is spiking in several states, and the final presidential debate did not go President Trump’s way.
Don’t expect either man to receive much sympathy from Bill Maher tonight. Yes, there will be a brand new episode of Real Time.
Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?
Tonight’s guest lineup starts with a first timer. Actor Matthew McConaughey will chat with Bill Maher.
The Oscar-winner is out promoting his book Greenlights. It is a memoir based on McConaughey’s personal diaries and his own life experiences. Expect an entertaining and thought-provoking conversation to start the show.
Next, Ben Sheehan joins the show. He’s the author of OMG WTF Does the Constitution Actually Say?, a book explaining how American democracy is meant to work under the Constitution. The conversation is certainly relevant given the debate over the Supreme Court and conversation around the transfer of power.
The panel will feature two guests with experience working in government. Both are repeat guests to Real Time with Bill Maher.
Heidi Heitkamp is the former Senator from North Dakota. She co-founded the One Country Project designed to help Democrats connect with rural voters. Expect her to give some insight on the 2020 election and how Joe Biden and other Democrats will fair in rural areas.
Anthony Scaramucci is the former White House Director of Communications. Since leaving the White House, he has been a critic of President Trump. The Mooch has endorsed Vice President Joe Biden and advises a political action committee working against President Trump. He should offer an inside look at Team Trump amid plummeting poll numbers.
