Is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon new tonight, October 20?
By Matt Moore
What should The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon fans expect to see tonight on NBC?
It was a long wait but in the end, it was worth it. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon returned on Monday night after taking a week off. So what should fans expect to see tonight?
As we’ve noticed, Jimmy Fallon has taken his monologue up a notch the further we’ve gone into fall. His political content has picked up in frequency and in quality, suggesting The Tonight Show is ready to compete with other late night shows for the politically-minded audience.
That was on display last night before Fallon’s show got decidedly more musical. He chatted with Gwen Stefani about her return to The Voice and then caught up with producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland about their show Verzuz.
Expect more of the same from Fallon and company tonight. There will be a brand new edition of The Tonight Show.
First, Fallon will talk with actress Natalie Portman. She leads Last Night On’s picks for the five late night TV guests to watch this week. She’ll discuss her children’s book Natalie Portman’s Fables and probably her upcoming role in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Next, actor Bill Porter joins the show. He’s been leading an initiative to promote voter turnout ahead of the presidential election.
The show closes with a performance by rapper Lous and the Yakuza. Her album Gore was released on Oct. 16.
