Monday got off to a quiet start in the world of late-night television shows. Several programs, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, took the night off, leaving fans hoping things change tonight.

The Tonight Show can be forgiven for taking a day to catch its breath. It’s coming off a successful week of shows featuring K-pop superstars BTS. And the show is one of the only on television that has featured in-studio interviews.

But there is always so much to get through when it comes to the material for late-night shows. The election is just weeks away at this point, leading to even more attention on shows like Jimmy Fallon’s.
