What should The Late Show with Stephen Colbert fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Did it feel like something was missing from your life yesterday? Maybe it was the lack of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that got your week off to a tough start.

The Late Show was noticeably absent following another busy weekend for President Donald Trump. Then Monday included a Trump rally in Florida while the nomination hearing for Judge Amy Coney Barrett began in the Senate.

These types of events are usually the perfect setup for Stephen Colbert’s monologue. But The Late Show took Monday night off, leaving fans without their go-to late-night TV laughs.

Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight?

There is only more bad news tonight. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show tonight.

Instead, audiences get another chance to watch the show from Oct. 2. Colbert’s guests were Dr. Jon LaPook and John Dickerson.

The CBS late-night show remains off. Hopefully, it just means that Colbert and his team of writers are resting up for what should be a very frantic few weeks leading up to the election.

While any night without Colbert is tough to get through, fans would likely agree that it’s better to have a well-rested and sharp Colbert in late Oct. and early Nov. Let’s hope that will be the case this year.
