Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, September 25?
By Matt Moore
What should Real Time with Bill Maher fans expect to see tonight on HBO?
We’ve reached the end of another long week in which late-night television attempted to keep up with President Donald Trump while entertaining audiences. Will Real Time with Bill Maher get its chance tonight?
President Trump made headlines by refusing to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he loses the upcoming election. Late-night hosts such as Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers pounced on the comments, part of their ramped up coverage of the president leading up to November.
The president’s comments seem to confirm Bill Maher’s warning from earlier this year. The Real Time host argued that President Trump would not leave the White House in 2020 regardless of the election’s outcome.
Fans can expect Maher to follow up on this tonight. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher.
Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, September 25?
Tonight’s first guest is Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Sen. Sanders recently laid out his plan for how to prevent President Trump from holding on to power if the election goes in former Vice President Joe Biden’s favor.
Maher will likely ask Sen. Sanders for further clarification on what exactly can be done in the event of a power grab from President Trump. It should be a very fiery and passionate appearance by Sen. Sanders tonight.
Next, Maher will chat with Jim Belushi. The actor recently got into the cannabis business with the launch of Belushi’s Farm. His journey is documented in the upcoming Discovery Channel series Growing Belushi.
The conversation should cover how Belushi became involved in the industry and where he sees it going in the future. Maher may also want to discuss the economic and political debates around legalized marijuana.
On the panel will be Coleman Hughes and Bakari Sellers. Hughes will be making his Real Time debut while it will be Sellers’ second time on the show. The conversation should focus on the racial justice protests and the latest developments in the death of Breonna Taylor.
Hughes is a writer and podcast host. He typically covers issues related to race and social justice and can be heard as the host of the “Conversations with Coleman” podcast.
Sellers is a political analyst seen on CNN and former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. In May, his memoir My Vanishing Country was published.
