Jimmy Kimmel noticed Vice President Mike Pence likes to tell the same story over and over again

President Donald Trump has been criticized for repeating the same lines and stories during his campaign speeches and rallies. But as Jimmy Kimmel pointed out, Vice President Mike Pence is also in need of new material.

It is clear that Vice President Pence is all-in when it comes to the cult of personality that is President Trump. Despite the seemingly countless differences between the two men, they have teamed up for four years in the White House with hopes of four more.

While campaigning for a second term, Vice President Pence doesn’t quite get the crowds going like his boss. It could have something to do with the same opening story the vice president uses that is very obviously made up.

Jimmy Kimmel picked up on this and sliced together a montage last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. It’s another example of how the Trump-Pence ticket is hoping that the same old, same old will work in 2020.

Jimmy Kimmel puts the late-night spotlight on Vice President Mike Pence

There are a number of articles, tweets, and columns discussing who President Donald Trump actually envies. The list includes former President Barack Obama, businessmen Jeff Bezos and Mike Bloomberg, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who thinks President Trump is jealous of Vice President Mike Pence, no matter how many states he visits.

Given everything that President Trump says and the cast of characters in his administration, it is easy for Vice President Pence to fly under the radar. But Jimmy Kimmel has occasionally made sure to put the spotlight on the former Iindiana governor.

Kimmel has previously called out Vice President Pence for his travel habits and routinely mocks the VP for his blind allegiance to President Trump. Still, no late-night host will have quite the same relationship with Vice President Pence as John Oliver. But if this “little bit jealous” story keeps popping up, expect more jokes to start coming.
