Conan O’Brien continues to check in with employees during quarantine, this time with producer Jordan Schlansky.

Fans of Conan O’Brien know that he has a special relationship with his employees. Whether on Conan or his podcast, O’Brien has demonstrated that time and time again. So it’s no surprise to see him checking in with his staff during the quarantine.

Recently, O’Brien held a Zoom meeting with his assistant Sona Movsesisan. Their discussion quickly made it clear that social distancing and quarantining had absolutely no effect on their dynamic.

But nobody has a relationship quite like Conan and producer Jordan Schlansky. Schlansky has played just about every role imaginable for the show, including as a travel companion, bit actor, and of course the star in some of Conan‘s best remotes.

With social distancing guidelines in place, it has been challenging for Conan and Jordan to get in front of a camera together. To remedy that, the late night host rigged up some impressive technology to ensure his producer is staying busy with various tasks:

No employee wants to hear that the boss sees them as something of a pet. But then again, very few employees if any have a relationship like Conan O’Brien and Jordan Schlansky. So that may explain why Schalnsky was willing to indulge his boss with a Furbo.

And indulge he did. Despite his best efforts to explain why chaos theory says it’s unlikely for the bit to work out, Jordan still found himself laying down, mouth agape staring at a dog camera while his boss manically laughed.

Rather than load up the Furbo with dog treats, O’Brien has his producer fill it with Italian cookies. And it is impossible to bring up Italy when talking about this duo and not fondly look back at their trip to Italy together:

It sounds like we haven’t seen the last of Jordan Schlansky on Furbo. In fact, more Team Coco employees may find the camera on their doorstep if Conan decides it’s the best way to stay connected.
