1. Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig returns as James Bond in No Time To Die. The movie is expected to be Craig’s final turn as 007 meaning a farewell tour is in order.

There’s no doubt that Craig will making the late night rounds ahead of No Time to Die‘s release on April 10, 2020. Returning to host Saturday Night Live would be a nice, lighthearted way for that promotional tour to end.

Craig has hosted once before, back in 2012 during season 38 when Skyfall was in theaters. The episode featured some memorable sketches include this James Bond parody that was a hit with Bond and Saturday Night Live fans.

Since his last turn as SNL host, Craig has continued to prove he’s more than capable as a comedic actor. Roles in Logan Lucky and Knives Out have certainly shown that. No Time to Die pairs Craig with his Knives Out co-star Ana de Armas, another dark horse pick for a host in 2020.

Craig has been open about the emotional and physical toll associated with playing James Bond. It was also reported that Craig requested Killing Eve and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge to inject some of her humor into the No Time to Die script. So that tells us that Craig may take the role of Bond seriously but doesn’t want to take himself too seriously. There is no better place for that attitude than Saturday Night Live.
