5. Kristen Bell

For the second year in a row, Kristen Bell makes Last Night On’s wishlist. It’s about forking time that Bell gets her shot to host Saturday Night Live.

Despite a career that has been in the mainstream spotlight since 2004, Bell has never hosted Saturday Night Live. Not once. Not during her run on Veronica Mars or House of Lies or during the height of Frozen mania.

It is time that NBC and SNL put an end to that. And 2020 is the perfect time to do it. Bell’s NBC sitcom The Good Place is coming to an end after four seasons. The show has received tons of critical praise, is a fan-favorite, and has earned the cast and crew several award nominations.

Bell is responsible for a large portion of that success as the flawed but relateable Eleanor Shellstrop. Bell showcases her comedy talents throughout The Good Place–a show that utilizes elements from multiple genres and brands of humor.

Giving Bell the chance to host Saturday Night Live would be a nice way to cap off Bell’s collaboration with NBC. And Bell is more than popular enough to attract fans who don’t watch The Good Place (what are you waiting for?).
