Selena Gomez conquers Can You Feel It? on The Tonight Show

Selena Gomez is no stranger to playing games on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Selena Gomez is a woman of many talents. While everyone knows she is an accomplished singer and actress, we can now officially say that she is a master of games at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Gomez has shown a willingness to play anything and everything that Jimmy Fallon and company come up with during her run of appearances first on Late Night and now The Tonight Show. Whether it is a musical game like Dubsmash or a viral sensation like “Hot Ones,” Gomez comes ready to play.

Monday night was no different as Gomez was challenged to a game of “Can You Feel It?” by Fallon. The touch-but-don’t-look game is known for getting some pretty strong reactions from both the Tonight Show host and his celebrity guests.

But Gomez, out promoting her album Rare, stepped up to the plate with a level of fearlessness that hopefully rubbed off on Fallon for future editions of the game. Watch Gomez stay cool, calm, and collected while handling some truly strange objects.

Before anything was even rolled out on stage, it was clear that Gomez wasn’t nervous about the game. She started things off with a playful roast of Fallon, a clear sign of the chemistry between the two that has made Gomez a must-watch guest anytime she is on The Tonight Show.

Once things got going it was Gomez who acted more like the host than the guest. She egged Fallon on in the first round (pun intended) and called him out for barely touching it. Then she dove right in when given “hair in a shower drain,” which may be one of the grossest concepts ever introduced in “Can You Feel It?” history.

When it came back around to Fallon’s turn, Gomez again was pushing for him to hurry up and get to touching. And when Fallon was clearly disgusted at finding out he handled cow brain, Gomez couldn’t help herself and poked at it, too. No fear.

If anything was going to incite an F-bomb being dropped, nobody would have guessed it would be a toy bear. But Gomez put the NBC censors to work after failing to identify the stuffed animal/puppet that came last.

Gomez kept the language clean when meal worms were introduced and may have finally cracked her nerve. She may have had no problem sticking her hand in there and feeling around when she thought it was food but the reveal quickly changed all that. Still, it was an impressive performance that ranks among the game’s best.
