Should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see a brand new episode tonight on NBC?

It is the last weekend before Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season. That means that for a lot of people, schedules will change and be hard to predict. The same can be said for Saturday Night Live as the show moves towards the midway point of season 45.

The show has already taken a few breaks between producing six episodes. Saturday Night Live came out of the gates strong with three straight episodes hosted by Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and David Harbour.

Since then, things have been a little uneven, a little hit or miss. The selections of Chance the Rapper, Kristen Stewart, and Harry Styles as hosts haven’t been the problem as all three did an admirable job as host.

SNL has already begun generating buzz for Dec.’s episodes. It was announced that Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, and Eddie Murphy will help the show close out 2019.

But what about tonight? Will there be a brand new episode or has the show taken off early for the Thanksgiving holiday?

Good news, SNL fans. There will be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight. Will Ferrell is your host and King Princess serves as musical guest.

Ferrell returns to join the “Five-Timers Club” and will be counted on to build up some momentum for SNL. Expect a little less political sketches outside of the cold open and a return to the over-the-top absurd characters that helped make Ferrell famous as a cast member.

The cold open will no doubt take a look at another week of impeachment hearings. Last week’s cold open featured a cameo by Jon Hamm. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see SNL go the cameo route again and bring in someone to play Ambassador Gordon Sondland. The good thing about focusing on the hearings is that it gives Alec Baldwin a chance to keep his Donald Trump wig in the closet.
