On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Game of Thrones Star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau talked about everything from Chuck Norris to emojis.

Game of Thrones may have gone off the air in May but a show with such a big fanbase never actually goes away. Nobody knows this better than the stars of the show including Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, also known as Jaime Lannister.

The Emmy Awards are this weekend, giving fans another reason to dissect the final season of Game of Thrones. It also means that the stars of GoT and just about every other television show are in Los Angeles.

The cast of Game of Thrones once had to deal with fans and talk show hosts constantly asking about what was coming next. Hints were dropped and spoilers were protected as everyone tried to speculate on what would happen or who would end up on the Iron Throne.

Things are a little different know as cast members have been pressured to share their thoughts on the finale. It is no secret that many fans were disappointed with how the final season played out on HBO.

So of course, that was one of the first things Jimmy Kimmel brought up with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau during their interview on Thursday night. Watch the interview below to hear Coster-Waldau’s thoughts on the Thrones ending and on a wide-range of other topics.

It is possible that the Kingslayer actor is hiding his true feelings about the finale. Some of his co-stars have been more open about questioning the plot and writing on the show. But Coster-Waldau was either sincerely satisfied or doesn’t want to bring anymore negativity to the Game of Thrones world.

But it is clear that the dedication and passion of the show’s fans have made an impact on him. As he tells Kimmel, he is working on a documentary exploring the ins-and-outs of fan conventions. And if Chuck Norris is still getting lines of people to meet him, you can only imagine what is in store for Coster-Waldau.

The actor is less excited about his chances for winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama at the Emmys. He is going up against Peter Dinklage and Alfie Allen, two Game of Thrones stars praised for their performances. If Coster-Waldau does pull an upset, hopefully he’ll get more than a thumbs up emoji from his on-screen brother.
