Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight, August 25?

Should fans expect to see a brand new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tonight?

It is another tricky time of the year when it comes to late night television. Summer is winding down but shows are still trying to get in one more vacation. Does that include Last Week Tonight with John Oliver?

Labor Day is coming up which is typically used to mark the end of summer. Late night shows have been using the past week to recharge their batteries in preparation for the fall. We didn’t see anything new from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, or Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

However, late night fans know that HBO runs its two shows a little differently compared to the competition. Real Time with Bill Maher didn’t go anywhere this week and gave audiences a brand new episode on Friday.

Sadly, it is a different story for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. There will not be a new episode for August 25.

Hopefully it will be the last break John Oliver and his team takes for the foreseeable future. A lot of fans will also be on one more vacation this week so hopefully he won’t be missed too much.
