The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is going live after the debate

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will continue to deliver the best debate coverage in all of late night.
Things are heating up in the 2020 presidential election. Fall is around the corner and with it comes another Democratic debate. For late night fans, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will continue to provide top notch coverage.
Comedy Central announced that The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will air live on Sept. 12 following the Democratic Party’s third debate. Scheduled to air at 11:00 PM ET, the Daily Show will have the first crack at breaking down the debate for comedy audiences.
The Daily Show isn’t the only late night show that goes live following the debates. We’ve seen something similar from Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. But Trevor Noah has a half hour head start on the competition, meaning The Daily Show will set the bar for jokes on any big moment from the debate.
Also giving things a boost will be the show’s social media accounts. Comedy Central boasts that The Daily Show has had the best engagement with fans on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook over the past four debates. The show is also top daily late night talk show with men in the coveted 18-34 age group.
The field of candidates who will be featured in the Sept. 12 debate is evolving. Candidates must meet two requirements: reach 2% in four polls and acquire donations from 130,000 unique donors. So far, here is who has qualified:
- Joe Biden
- Elizabeth Warren
- Bernie Sanders
- Kamala Harris
- Cory Booker
- Pete Buttigieg
- Andrew Yang
- Amy Klobuchar
- Beto O’Rourke
The debate will take place at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. It is scheduled for two nights but there is no word yet if The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will be going back-to-back when it comes to live shows.
