Here is everything fans need to know about the live Late Show with Stephen Colbert after tonight’s Democratic debate.

The Democratic field is so big that the debate had to be divided up over two nights. It also means two nights of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert going live after the debates.

Colbert did the same thing during the first pair of debates with help from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Tuesday night was more of the same as Colbert recapped Bernie Sanders performance and more.

The entire Late Show writing staff and crew have become experts at these live shows. They done it after the Super Bowl, the State of the Union, and now the debates. Colbert and company deserve credit for their ability to pick up moments and pull clips to quickly put together a monologue.

Wednesday night’s debate will feature another group of Democratic hopefuls. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren were the big names from Tuesday’s debate. Here’s who will be providing The Late Show with material on Wednesday:

  • Michael Bennet
  • Kirsten Gillibrand
  • Julian Castro
  • Corey Booker
  • Joe Biden
  • Kamala Harris
  • Andrew Yang
  • Tulsi Gabbard
  • Jay Inslee
  • Bill de Blasio

Expect all eyes to be on how Joe Biden and Kamala Harris interact after their dust up during the first debate. Surely Colbert will be watching.

Here is what to expect from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert following the debate. It is of course airing on CBS.

Colbert’s guests will include Rahm Emanuel and Michael Ian Black. Emanuel was President Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff from 2009 to 2010 and mayor of Chicago from 2011 to 2019. Michael Ian Black is a comedian, actor, and author noted for a very politically active Twitter feed.
