Celebrate the summer season with these classic Saturday Night Live sketches.

We are in the first week of July but many of us are already deep into the summer season. Going to the beach, taking a vacation, and spending all day outdoors are just some of the most popular summer pastimes. They can also be some of the most popular topics for Saturday Night Live sketches.

Saturday Night Live has sketches for every holiday, every pop culture event, and every season. After 44 seasons, the show has become pretty good at finding jokes in just about everything.

Fans know that summer is the offseason for Saturday Night Live. The cast and writers are off working on different projects or just relaxing before the hectic schedule of season 45 begins in the fall.

The show’s YouTube channel has been treating fans to vintage sketches every week. But a fanbase as large and as dedicated as SNL’s can be hard to satisfy. This is especially true for the younger generation of SNL viewers who may not be as eager to see sketches from the late 1970s and early 1980s as some of their more experienced fellow fans.

So that is why Last Night On has put together a collection of Saturday Night Live sketches celebrating everything summer. We have some classic “Weekend Update” moments along with others featuring summer staples like camp and weddings. To celebrate the Fourth of July, we’ve even given “honorary summer status” to the Will Ferrell classic “Short Shorts for the USA.”
