Things in Washington, D.C. are heating up which usually means a lot to discuss on Real Time with Bill Maher.

We are inching closer to summer. And with that comes hotter temperatures across the country. Things are already heating up in Washington, D.C. as President Donald Trump faces conflicts on multiple fronts. It all adds up to a lot of material for Real Time with Bill Maher.

With Bill Maher just popping up on screens on Friday nights, it has been up to the rest of his late night colleagues to keep the laughs coming while covering the news. As always, Seth Meyers has been taking a closer look at Trump’s attitude toward Iran. Stephen Colbert recently targeted Donald Trump Jr. over his upcoming book.

Yet late night fans know that Real Time brings something a little different to the table than Colbert and Meyers. His interview guests and discussion panel are unlike anything else you can find on television. It’s part of the reason he’s been doing this show for 17 seasons now.

Beyond escalating tension with Iran there are other stories that need Maher’s take on them. Nancy Pelosi is getting pressured to pursue impeachment proceedings. President Trump is finding it harder and harder to keep his tax returns secret. And the field of Democrats for 2020 is still growing.

We know summer is around the corner because it is Memorial Day weekend. It also means that people tend to take a little time off from work. Bill Maher is no different.

There will be no new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight. Fans will have to wait out another week to hear from Maher.

Fans can still look back at a week of content from Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and Samantha Bee if they need a fix when it comes to political humor. Or take a page from Maher’s book and enjoy the long weekend by unplugging from the news.
