Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, April 20?

Another big week in news and pop culture means Saturday Night Live has a lot to talk about.
We are getting towards the end of season 44 of Saturday Night Live. A theme this season has been unpredictability, whether in terms of cameos, sketches, and even the schedule.
The show hasn’t always been there when fans expected to see it. Breaks around holidays are expected but there multiple times Saturday Night Live took a weekend off that surprised fans.
It is usually when major news breaks during the week that attention increases on SNL. This week was certainly a big one from the Game of Thrones premiere to the release of the Mueller report, there was a lot going on in the world.
SNL has a chance to build on the momentum from the previous two episodes. Hosts Kit Harington and Emma Stone turned in solid performances for both a first time and returning host.
Unfortunately that doesnt seem to be the plan for tonight. There will be no new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight, April 20.
The show will be back at the start of May. To kick off the final run of shows for the season, SNL alum Adam Sandler will finally host for the first time. Emma Thompson and Paul Rudd will round out hosting duties for the year after Sandler.
