Confused by Game of Thrones? Jimmy Kimmel and the cast have the answers

Jimmy Kimmel is offering a brand new service for Game of Thrones fans with help from the show’s cast.

By now you’ve had a few days to digest the season eight premiere of Game of Thrones. If you didn’t rewatch past seasons to prepare then you may have found yourself trying to recall every little plot line and side character that were revisited on Sunday night. For fans with more questions than answers, Jimmy Kimmel has a solution.

Kimmel has been a vocal fan of Game of Thrones  since the beginning. His interview with cast members like Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau are typically some of the best in late night. No other other tries to push for spoilers or any hints at what could happen next quite like Jimmy Kimmel.

So as a fan himself, Kimmel knows just how confusing Game of Thrones can be to watch. Fans are often expected to recall years-old plot lines or quotes in order to understand exactly what is going in Westeros. To help, Kimmel brought in some of the cast to film an infomercial for “Game of Phones.”

This was a clever idea from the writers at Jimmy Kimmel Live!. But it wouldn’t be nearly as good of a clip without the assistance from Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Kristian Nairn, and others from Game of Thrones.

It is also a clip that deserves two or three viewings in order to fully appreciate the thoughtfulness of its design. Clearly the writers at Jimmy Kimmel Live! are hardcore fans given how detailed each cast member’s “Game of Phones” cubicles are decorated.

Lena Headey is surrounded by pictures of her children and a heart-framed photo of Jaime Lanister. Hodor actor Kristian Nairn has a small door leaning against his cubicle wall. Near Iwan Rheon we can see a small figure positioned like a flayed man as a nod to House Bolton.
