Portraying one of the most hated characters on Game of Thrones means Lena Headey doesn’t have many fans in her corner.

With the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones just months away, predictions are ramping up over who will be the last to sit on the Iron Throne. Actress Lena Headey knows that her character Queen Cersei Lannister is on the bottom of most lists but that doesn’t mean she isn’t pulling for her.

Plenty of fans want to see Jon Snow, Daenerys, or a Stark sister rule over Westeros when Game of Thrones ends. Cersei has become the villain of the show and the disdain many viewers have towards her is a testament to the incredible talent of Lena Headey as an actress.

So it wasn’t the first time she heard it when Jimmy Kimmel told Headey that he was actively rooting against her. Last Night On told you to keep an eye out for Headey’s visit to Jimmy Kimmel LIve! and of course Game of Thrones was the first thing they talked about:

Kimmel is a big fan of the show and has always tried to get some information from a cast member who visits. Kimmel has become quite good at it by asking about the shooting schedule rather than the plot. This way, he can try to piece together what character was sent home earlier than others.

But Headey has been on Jimmy Kimmel Live! before and is surely used to spoiler hunters by now. She does well to cover her bases by suggesting that the timing of her series wrap has nothing to do with the fate of Cersei.

If you watch the entire interview with Lena Headey then you can see she is nothing like her Game of Thrones character. That is just further proof of her acting abilities. There is a reason why she has been Emmy nominated for her role as Cersei. Now, whether or not Headey’s personality is enough to win support for Cersei to take the Iron Throne is another story.
