Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, April 6?
By Matt Moore
Saturday Night Live’s schedule has been unpredictable this season so what should fans expect to see tonight?
It is Saturday and that means that millions of fans will be eager to watch Saturday Night Live tonight. But season 44 has been one marked by breaks and weeks off that have left us without anything new some weeks.
Things haven’t always been live from New York this season. And while the president may treat reruns like breaking news, SNL fans prefer to see new episodes come Saturday night. But with only two months left in the season, fans are hoping to see less repeats and more new material before the summer starts.
The show made headlines yesterday by revealing that Adam Sandler will host before the season closes. It is a homecoming a long time in the making for the former Saturday Night Live cast member turned international movie star. Sandler will host the May 4 episode, meaning he won’t have any reason to revisit his classic Halloween costumes, but we’re not complaining.
But what about tonight? After all, SNL fans are more the instant gratification types. Don’t worry, there will be an all new episode tonight, April 6.
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will host for the first time. The musical guest will be Sara Bareilles. You can read Last Night On’s episode preview in which he expect Harington and SNL to surprise a lot of fans.
You can no doubt expect to see a Game of Thrones parody tonight. Peter Dinklage and Jason Momoa both had a GoT sketch during their episodes as host and Kit Harington won’t be treated any differently. Saturday Night Live airs tonight at 11:30 PM ET on NBC. Enjoy the show and stay tuned to Last Night On for all the highlights.
