A big week of guests is planned across late night and we have the top picks you should be excited to see.

There is a reason that late night shows feature the name of the host in the title. The hosts are the main attraction and they set the tone and sense of humor for the show. But it is the guests that can keep viewers coming back night after night as the biggest names in entertainment, sports, and politics get a chance to shine in the late night spotlight.

Now that awards season is over and the winners have already taken a victory lap on late night, the attention shifts to new releases. Big name actors are out pushing new television series as well as some pretty high profile movies. Late night continues to be one of the best marketing tools studios and networks can use.

Of course, there is also no shortage of headlines that late night can use for content. Some of the best guests in late night these days come from outside of the entertainment industry as more and more people turn to hosts like Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert for their take on the news.

It all means that there is no better time for us late night fans. The variety of content is incredible. The hosts and writers of each show have been working hard to keep things fresh and find new ways to bring audiences entertainment each and every night. The guest certainly help achieve that goal on most nights and their star power can bring even more attention to each show.

So with that all being said, Last Night On presents its picks for three late night guests to be excited for this week. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers returne from a week off, meaning we have a full schedule of new late night shows this week. Let us know what you think and who you want to see, and then be sure to tune in this week!

3. Keira Knightley on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Actress Keira Knightley will be making her first visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week. While Knightley has been interviewed by Fallon before, that was during his Late Night days. You can catch her on the show Tuesday March 12.

Knightley will be promoting her upcoming film The Aftermath that hits theaters on March 15. Set in 1946 Germany, Knightley plays the wife of a British colonel (Jason Clarke) who remain in Hamburg following the war to rebuild the city. The couple share a home with the previous owner, a German widower played by Alexander Skarsgard, which leads to tension among the characters.

Since finding her way into the spotlight with 2002’s Bend it Like Beckham, Keira Knightley has become one of the best guests you can have in late night. She typically appears relaxed and has proved to be very quick-witted. Expect Jimmy Fallon to ask her to play one of his many signature games.

2. Ricky Gervais on Late Night with Seth Meyers

Tune into Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday March 13 to see one of the funniest comedians in the world. Ricky Gervais will return to the show as the lead guest.

Gervais has made plenty of visits to Late Night and built up some pretty good chemistry with Seth Meyers. Meyers wisely tends to let Gervais go off on his own and rant about whatever topic he feels is relevant at the moment.

It seems like Ricky Gervais is one of the hardest working people in the entertainment industry. He is constantly out promoting a new television series, movie, or comedy special. His latest is the Netflix series After Life.

After Life looks like it will examine grief and depression with Gervais’s signature sense of humor. If you’re familiar with Gervais, then you know he doesn’t care too much for “political correctness” or being sensitive to others’ feelings. This is especially the case when it comes to his comedy. It will be interesting to hear how he came up with the premise and what he hopes audiences will get from the series.

1. Kate Beckinsale on The Late Late Show with James Corden

Actress Kate Beckinsale returns to The Late Late Show this week. You can see her sit down with James Corden on Thursday March 14.

Beckinsale has becoming something of a must-see whenever she visits a late night show. She has a hilarious sense of humor and isn’t afraid to share stories that others may think are embarassing or too crude for television. These are the exact type of stories that Corden loves to hear on his show so he will no doubt be encouraging Beckinsale to share.

The actress will be promoting her new Amazon series The Widow. It debuted eariler this month and Beckinsale has been praised for her performance. Corden will likely ask about filming locations as well as what sort of preparations Beckinsale went through for the action sequences. We’ll also have to see if Corden ventures into Beckinsale’s personal life now that she is linked to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.
