Another busy week provided plenty of material so will Saturday Night Live be new tonight?

February is winding down which means that spring is right around the corner. Warmer weather and everything else that comes with are just weeks away. And for some fans, Saturday Night Live is the best way to keep track of the calendar.

When the Santa sketches start coming out, we know it’s December. Bits about cheap cards and chocolates means that it’s February.

Beyond the holidays, we’ve been keeping track of Saturday Night Live as best we can here at Last Night On. The problem is that the show’s 44th season has had some odd breaks and taken weeks off we wouldn’t normally expect.

However, the show had been on a streak the past couple of weeks. We had Halsey joining an elite group of artists who acted as both host and performers. She was followed up by Don Cheadle getting his first chance to host SNL.

So with that, we anticipated a third straight new episode of Saturday Night Live. But as has been the case all season, it’s nearly impossible to tell when a new episode will air or not. Once again, there will be no new episode tonight.

Like many schools across the country, it sounds like SNL is on a February vacation before getting back to studio 8H for the stretch run of season 44. One person who is probably happy to hear the show is off this week: President Donald Trump.

You probably heard all about Trump’s attack on SNL following last week’s cold open in which Alec Baldwin parodied the president’s national emergency press conference. Trump wasn’t very happy with the bit which only brought more attention to the sketch.

So with that in mind, if you’re looking to get your Saturday Night Live fill for the week we have the solution. Check out this article detailing how past presidents reacted to SNL and how it compares with our current commander-in-chief.
