Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, Feb. 15?
By Matt Moore
Should fans tune into HBO tonight and expect to see an all-new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher?
It’s Friday and it’s also a three day weekend for many people with Presidents’ Day, or Washington’s Birthday, on Monday. A holiday can mean changes to television schedules as well. So will that impact Real Time with Bill Maher?
Season 17 of the show has been off to a fast start so a disruption to that momentum would be tough to swallow. Guests like Ann Coulter and Chris Christie have brought plenty of attention to the show that remains the go-to spot for political discussion on television.
Sure, you can tune into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to follow along with news on the government shutdown. Or you can get a closer look at the Russia investigation on Late Night with Seth Meyers. But only on HBO can you get the sort of unfiltered conversation from both perspectives that Bill Maher brings to the table every week.
And there haven’t been too many weeks like the past one in terms of big news coming out of Washington. We’ve heard that Paul Manafort lied to the FBI. An agreement was reached to avoid another shutdown. And just today, President Trump declared a national emergency to secure more funding for his border wall.
It seems like a less than ideal time for Real Time to take a long weekend. Thankfully, that is not the case. There will be a new episode tonight. You can read Last Night On’s preview of the episode right here.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs tonight, Friday February 15, on HBO at 10:00 PM ET. The show is live so that means we should get Maher’s take on the controversial national emergency announcement made earlier today. Tune in and let us know what you thought of the episode and check back with Last Night On for the highlights.
