Ariana Grande and James Corden barely escaped a haunted house
By Matt Moore
Late Late Show host James Corden took pop star Ariana Grande to a haunted escape room and the pair were in over their heads. Watch how they survived.
Halloween is a holiday that means different things for different people. Some prefer a more goofy, funny approach to Oct. 31. They like silly costumes, loud, bright parties, and having some laughs. Not Ariana Grande.
The singer told James Corden on The Late Late Show that she liked the thrill of getting scared. She also claimed to have done over 300 escape rooms. So Corden decided to put the two together and see how well he and Grande could handle it.
For a self-proclaimed lover of being scared, Grande did not get off to a good start. The dark room immediately had her cowering in fear. Corden did his best to be brave but even he had a tough time holding it together. Check out the full clip below:
Grande may not have been able to stay cool, calm, and collected when people were grabbing for her feet or lights flickered in and out. However she did show some real talent for the puzzle aspects, so that has to count for something.
James Corden probably isn’t anyone’s first choice for the guy they want stuck in a series of haunted rooms together with people attacking them. He certainly showed a talent for letting profanities fly.
The danger did get a little too real at one point. We see Grande take a pretty hard fall while trying to get out of the final room. She didn’t seem too banged up though and seemed proud of her hand injury. But it probably will be a while before she tries a room like that again.
All in all it was good to see both Ariana Grande and James Corden survive the haunted escape room. It doesn’t look like this will be an annual tradition for them though considering the injury risk. Perhaps they are better off in the carpool lane.
