Promoting his film A Star Is Born on the Tonight Show, actor Bradley Cooper had a little trouble holding things together with host Jimmy Fallon.

It seems like Bradley Cooper and Jimmy Fallon have developed their shtick, whether intentional or not. Their 2014 interview went viral after a fit of uncontrollable laughter came over the pair while wearing wigs and visors discussing Cooper’s play Elephant Man.  So when Cooper returned to The Tonight Show on Wednesday night, he vowed to keep it together. Things didn’t quite go that way as you can see in the video below:

After commenting on his chemistry with A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga and the success of their song “Shallow,” Cooper gets a little sidetracked with a story about his high school reunion. He makes reference to the limited time left in the interview which makes it even more odd that he continued with the story. In typical fashion, Fallon made no effort to move things along and instead leaned into the situation in hopes of recapturing some of that 2014 magic.

Fans of the show know that fits of laughter are nothing new for Fallon. He gained a reputation for hit while a cast member on Saturday Night Live. The host has been criticized in the past for playing up his amusement for the benefit of the guest but its seems that his rapport with Cooper is genuine. For his part, Cooper seems more at ease on The Tonight Show even when promoting heavy material like A Star Is Born.
