After the shutdown of the president’s daughter Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand, Stephen Colbert took to The Late Show to celebrate the news.

What’s one person’s bad news could make another person’s day…

Last night on The Late Show, Donald Trump wasn’t the only Trump family member to catch some flak in the opening monologue. Stephen Colbert definitely dove into Trump’s recent comments about how Russia would meddle in the election to prevent Trump from winning. Colbert jokes about the hacking with a Russian graphic and music suddenly covering the screen, as if Vladimir Putin had seized control of the show.

After poking some fun at Trump and Putin, however, Colbert spoke about what’s been going on with the the president’s daughter, Ivanka. As it turns out, Ivanka is shutting down her namesake fashion brand, which gets applause from the Late Show audience. “She’s closing down her namesake fashion brand, because she wants to spend more time with her namesake fascism brand,” Colbert jokes.

It seems, as Colbert suggests, that the clothes just weren’t selling. So, what to do with all of the remaining, unsold product? Colbert says they should take a page from the losing Super Bowl teams, by sending the clothes to kids in developing countries. “Those kids deserve those clothes. After all, they made them,” the Late Show host adds. Needless to say, Colbert is quite amused by the shutdown, and isn’t buying her excuse that it’s to focus on politics.
