On The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert did a hilarious re-enactment of the Peter Strzok testimony footage, calling it the Red-Hot Congressional Strzok-Fest 2018.

Yesterday, FBI agent Peter Strzok was on national television to provide his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. Strzok had been removed from Robert Mueller’s special counsel based on some text messages he had sent which were anti-Donald Trump. As such, the agent was being grilled as to whether his personal beliefs about Trump would have interfered in the investigation.

Referring to his coverage as Red-Hot Congressional Strzok-Fest 2018, Stephen Colbert dove into the situation on last night’s Late Show. Colbert began to go through the footage, which featured Strzok mentioning that this trial was another notch of victory in Vladimir Putin’s belt. “After the last two years, I’m surprised Putin has any belt left,” Colbert jokes. “It’s all notch at this point.”

After dishing out some more about Strzok, Colbert shows some footage of everyone at the trial barking at each other. For his part, it just blows Colbert’s mind. Rather than comment on it, the late night funnyman decides to do a full recreation of it. And, voicing everyone there himself, Colbert goes into a long tirade that very accurately spoofs everything we just heard. It’s hilarious and not something that’s easy to put into words, so you just need to check it out for yourself.
