After apologizing last week on Twitter for her vulgar remark about Ivanka Trump, Samantha Bee has formally apologized again on her TBS series Full Frontal.

Samantha Bee wants everyone to know she’s sorry about what she said about Ivanka Trump, and made it clear she “regrets” saying what she did.

Last night on Full Frontal, Bee addressed the recent controversy surrounding her and the president’s daughter. After using an offensive and vulgar term to describe Ivanka on the show last week (I think you know what word I’m talking about), Bee came under a lot of fire. Even Donald Trump himself was berating Bee on Twitter, with critics of hers demanding the show be cancelled in the wake of the comment.

Immediately, Bee apologized for the insult on Twitter. However, last night on Full Frontal, she expanded on that apology, diving deeper into what happened. “It is a word I have used on the show many times trying to reclaim it,” Bee explained, concerning his choice to use that particular word. “This time I used it as an insult. I crossed the line. I regret it and I do apologize for that.” She adds that she never meant to hurt anyone on her show — well, other than Ted Cruz.

You can watch the apology video below.

Furthermore, Bee goes on to lament her frustration in having this ordeal dominate the news cycle, distracting people from more important matters. “I should have known that a potty-mouthed insult would be inherently more interesting to them than juvenile immigration policy,” Bee explains. “I would do anything to help those kids. I hate that this distracted from them and so to them, I am also sorry.”

Bee has lost two advertisers in the wake of the insult. However, as of now, there are no plans for TBS to put an end to the series. Catch new episodes of Full Frontal when they air Wednesday nights on TBS.
