Will there be a show live from New York on this Saturday night?

Let’s get right to the reason you’re here. And let me just say right now that it’s not great news. No, there’s no new episode of the show on tonight. And not only that, but, Saturday Night Live recently concluded its season, leading to the summer break. It won’t be back until the fall, so we’re going to have to wait a while for more.

Last week, the season finale featured Tina Fey with musical guest Nicki Minaj. Several mainstays such as Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump appeared on the show as well. It was an awesome show and a great season finale, so that makes it much less funny tonight knowing there’s no new SNL to look forward to.

Tonight, a rerun will be airing, featuring the April 14 episode with the hilarious John Mulaney. Mulaney previously worked on SNL as a staffer and did a great job in his return as a host. The episode is also notable for having Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller appear to do a parody of their most infamous Meet the Parents scene. Jack White is the musical guest.
