Jimmy Fallon taste tests Cate Blanchett’s favorite burgers

Actress Cate Blanchett doesn’t enjoy traditional American burgers, so she brought two of her preferred styles to the Tonight Show for Jimmy Fallon to try.

Last night on The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon welcomed actress Cate Blanchett as a special guest. During their interview, the topic turned to hamburgers, with Blanchett revealing she’s brought two styles of burger with her for Fallon to do a taste test with. As explained by Blanchett, the actress is always disappointed with what she gets when ordering traditional American burgers, and wants people to give some other styles of burger a try.

For the segment, Fallon dons a blindfold so he can’t see the burger he’s eating. Fallon jokes that it feels like Fifty Shades of Burger, questioning why he needs to wear the blindfold. After all, he knows what a burger looks like. Blanchett jokes that it’s “sexy” that way, and Fallon winds up trying to two separate burgers.

The first sandwich is more traditional, and Blanchett helps Fallon take a bite. It’s an Australian-style sandwich, with beets giving it a bit of a different flavor. The second burger is actually a veggie burger, with no real meat in the sandwich. Surprised by how good it is, Fallon says that the burger is fantastic, and Blanchett responds that it’s the thinking man’s burger.

After watching this segment, I feel compelled to track these burgers down to try them for myself. Sure, I still love the American style and I don’t see that going way, regardless. But I’m always down to try some new burgers!
