What are the former aides and officials for Donald Trump up to now after being fired by the president? Seth Meyers is checking back in with them to see.

After getting fired by the president of the United States, where does one go next?

Last night on Late Night, host Seth Meyers was determined to answer that very question. At this stage in Donald Trump’s presidency, the White House is starting to look more like The Apprentice. Trump has fired so many people that it’s beyond ridiculous, and Meyers is checking in on two of the more recent names.

First, Meyers tells the story of Carl Higbie, a former Navy SEAL and Trump surrogate. Higbie was appointed to be the face of the Corporation for National and Community Service. However, when several racist and homophobic remarks Higbie made on the radio were revealed, he had to resign from his position. So what happened to him next? He was hired by a pro-Trump Super PAC. He didn’t go away, he just had his job moved around.

Meyers then touches on Trump’s personal aide, John McEntee, who was also forced out. Apparently McEntee is being investigated by the Secret Service for “serious financial crimes.” So, what happened to him? Almost immediately after his firing, McEntee was then hired as an adviser for Trump’s re-election campaign for 2020. Meyers compares it to applying for a job at Chipotle, mentioning you were fired at Taco Bell for screaming the “N-word.” Meyers says that Chopotle definitely won’t hire you, but “I know someone that might.”

Meyers always has something to say about the latest missteps of the president. It’s always entertaining to see him do his take downs in the way that only he can. To catch new episodes, watch Late Night with Seth Meyers when it airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on NBC.
