Stephen Colbert revealed on last night’s Late show that Donald Trump Jr. said the phrase “I do not recall” an astonishing 186 times during his testimony.

Can Donald Trump Jr. recall anything?!

Kicking off his monologue on last night’s Late Show, host Stephen Colbert revealed that the Senate Committee released 2500 pages about a 2016 meeting held in Trump Tower. Those at the meeting included Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner. Or, as Colbert jokingly refers to them as, “The Three Colluges.”

Reportedly, the point of this meeting was to get dirt on Hillary Clinton from the Russian government. Some bizarre details about Trump Jr. were revealed, such as him taking a call from a blocked number during the meeting. When asked about this during his testimony, Trump Jr. claimed he couldn’t remember who he spoke to during that call.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of everything Trump Jr. seems to have forgotten. Colbert tells his viewers that the Late Show staff went through and counted 186 instances of Trump Jr. saying he could not recall something when asked. It’s even more amusing when you take that and compare it to a Mark Twain quote tweeted in the past by Trump Jr., which reads, “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Colbert imagines Twain tweeting Trump Jr. back a blunt message telling him he’s going to jail. Sure, it’s a joke, but’s starting to seem like a very real possibility…

It’s certainly pretty funny just how much the younger Trump seems to have forgotten. It almost seems like the whole administration has a severe case of selective amnesia. For the rest of us, remember to watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert when it airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
