Donald Glover does a spot on impression of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian holding a summit for all of the black people in Star Wars.

A certain problem in the Star Wars franchise is finally being addressed…

This month, the next movie in the film series will come out featuring Han Solo in his formative years. Solo: A Star Wars Story will co-star Donald Glover as fan favorite Lando Calrissian, a role originally played by Billy Dee Williams. So in preparation for the upcoming role, Glover took part in a Star Wars sketch on last night’s Saturday Night Live, where he was serving as guest host.

In the skit, Glover portrays Williams’ version of Lando, adoes a hilariously spot on impression. Lando has apparently organized a summit for all of the black characters in Star Wars, but only after they’re all gathered together do they realize how few and far between they are. In fact, only four people show up to the summit, including Lando himself!

Despite the low attendance, Lando doesn’t seem too upset. After letting the others say their piece, Lando closes out by performing a song with the help of a blue alien. I didn’t think I’d ever see Donald Glover singing, “Makin’ Love in Space” dressed up as the old Lando Calrissian!
