Late night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel will be taking on the role of the Dark Knight as it’s been revealed he’s voicing Batman in the Teen Titans Go! movie.

From Adam West to… Jimmy Kimmel?

This summer, young DC fans will be getting a feature length film based on the popular animated series Teen Titans Go! Titled Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, the “extended episode” will be about our favorite budding superheroes attempting to catch a break in Hollywood. During their quest, some familiar faces in the comic book universe are expected to appear, which certainly includes arguably the biggest name of them all… BATMAN!

The Dark Knight will definitely be featured in the new movie, as confirmed by the news of his casting. Jimmy Kimmel of Jimmy Kimmel Live has been officially announced for the role of Batman in the movie. Admittedly, that’s not the first name one might think of when casting Bruce Wayne — but as a comedic, animated film, I actually think this is a great choice. The character is likely going to be a funny version of the Caped Crusader so perhaps it’s all too fitting.

Kimmel isn’t the first name attached to the project. Other confirmed talent includes Will Arnett (Deathstroke), Nicolas Cage (Superman), Halsey (Wonder Woman, and Lil Yachty (Green Lantern). Kristen Bell has also been cast as an original character, filmmaker Jade Wilson.
