Melting down about Michael Cohen, Donald Trump went on quite the tirade on Twitter over the weekend, and Stephen Colbert finds it hilarious.

Does the president ever do anything besides griping on Twitter?

Last night on The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert welcomed his viewers back from the weekend. He notes that, in particular, Donald Trump apparently had a pretty busy weekend. Or, at least “his thumbs did,” according to Stephen Colbert — the president tweeted 25 times over the weekend!

As explained by Colbert, Trump’s tweets took aim at a variety of different subjects. What seems to be bothering the president the most, however, is a report from The New York Times theorizing Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is going to flip on him. Trump insulted the reporter in a tweet, claiming he has “nothing to do” with her — a claim proven wrong when Colbert shows an image of Trump and the reporter together in the White House.

Several more tweets go on about the supposed “witch hunt” with Cohen, but that’s not all Trump had to say on Twitter. Among other things, Trump also denied reports that he referred to a colleague of his as “Mr. Magoo”, claiming not to know the character. “Trump definitely knows these old TV characters. I don’t know why he’s denying it,” Colbert says. “Unless… oh my god. Donald Trump had sex with Mr. Magoo.”

And that’s still all just a portion of Trump’s entire tirade. You can watch the rest in Colbert’s monologue in the YouTube video below.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe nobody in the White House has taken Trump’s Twitter away. These kinds of tantrums certainly don’t do the president any favors. As for Colbert, you can keep up with him every weeknight when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST, only on CBS.
