Conan O’Brien bashes Donald Trump in birthday monologue

Conan O’Brien celebrated his birthday monologue on last night’s Conan on TBS by throwing shade at Donald Trump over his Stormy Daniels tweet.
What better way to ring in the birthday than with Donald Trump jokes?
Last night on Conan on TBS, host Conan O’Brien kicked off his opening monologue with some news about the president. O’Brien reveals that Trump has finally broken his silence on Twitter about his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels. In response to a composite sketch of a man tho reportedly threatened Daniels, Trump tweets that the whole thing is just “fake news.”
“Trump says, ‘It looks nothing like me!'” O’Brien sarcastically adds, only receiving minimal applause. Disappointed in the crowd’s response, he reminds them that it’s his birthday, which brings in louder reactions. O’Brien and Richter joke about how that was wrong, though O’Brien does make a good point… it is his birthday!
O’Brien also brings up how Trump referred to Mar-a-Lago as the “Southern White House.” In response, O’Brien jokes that he refers to the real White House as the “Western Kremlin.” That’s obviously a dig at Trump’s alleged infatuation with Russia and Vladimir Putin, so let’s just say the president certainly wasn’t tweeting any happy birthday messages to Conan yesterday.
