Black Panther star Letitia Wright plays Wheel of Freestyle
By Jeremy Dick
On last night’s Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon invited Black Panther star Letitia Wright for a few hilarious rounds of Wheel of Freestyle.
Now this is the kind of rap battle I really like to see!
Last night on The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon spoke to Letitia Wright — star of the blockbuster superhero movie Black Panther. During her time on the program, Fallon invited her to play along with a game of Wheel of Freestyle! The point, as explained by Fallon, participants will have to work in three random words given to them into a freestyle rap.
With Wright going up first, we know we’re in for something fun when she’s given her three words: disco, Red Lobster, and vibranium. But with a beat given to her by the Roots, Wright manages to pull it off. It includes rhyming “Oscar” with “Red Lobster,” and I have to give her credit for doing so much better than I possibly could.
Going up against Wright is Tariq Trotter from the Roots, who’s given some wacky words of his own. He’s tasked with working in yodel, toothbrush, and Snuffleupagus. It seems like it would be a struggle, but somehow Tariq manages to pull it off pretty well too, same as Wright!

Hopefully, we will be seeing more Wheel of Freestyle games in the future. This segment was a hilarious one and it needs to be a recurring bit! In the meantime, keep up with new episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon by tuning in weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST only on NBC!
