After returning to Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel took to his monologue to recap the most hilarious moments from hosting the 2018 Academy Awards.

Jimmy Kimmel went straight from the Oscars back home to Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he hasn’t missed a step!

On Sunday night, Kimmel hosted the Academy Awards for the second year in a row. This time, there weren’t any major catastrophes like what happened with the Best Picture reveal last year. But the night was still interesting enough, as Kimmel revealed on last night’s monologue for his late night show!

To start with, Kimmel reveals how his mother made cookies and literally smuggled them into the event using tupperware. During the show, Kimmel’s mother was literally passing out cookies to the celebrities in the crowd, including Steven Spielberg. “Which really just goes to show, even when you’re 50 years old and hosting the Academy Awards, you can still be embarrassed by mommy.”

Kimmel gets further into his entertaining Oscar night, such as by talking about the “contest” he created with this staff to give a jetski to the winner with the shortest speech. This resulted in many, many stars referencing the jetski during their speeches, seemingly at least open to the idea of winning it.
