Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on tonight, March 4th?

It’s Sunday night, which usually means there’s going to be an all new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. But will the Oscars preempt the show?

John Oliver is multiple episodes deep into Season 5 now, and he’s been just as hilarious as ever. First, he tackled the relationship Donald Trump has with the rest of the world, which to put in a nutshell, isn’t pretty at all. Then, last week, he spent a lot of time speaking about the Italian election and why it’s something we should care about.

So, will there be another new episode of Last Week Tonight premiering tonight on HBO? Well the good news to report is that, yes, there will be a new episode on tonight! So don’t worry about Oliver taking the night off just because the Oscars are going to be on tonight as well.

Last year, HBO renewed Last Week Tonight through 2020. The network has enough confidence in the guy to keep him around for many years. But that’s not surprising or anything, after all, it’s an Emmy winning series. His HBO colleague Bill Maher will be hanging around for a while longer as well, having his own show Real Time getting renewed into 2020 as well.

It remains to be seen what Oliver will be discussing on tonight’s show. But we’re still expecting it to be a great one. Be sure to tune in at 11 p.m. EST on HBO to see what it’s all about!
