Ellen DeGeneres surprises Jimmy Kimmel with very special gift

Jimmy Kimmel paid a visit to the Ellen show yesterday, where host Ellen DeGeneres surprised him with a special dedication to his son Billy.

Yesterday, Jimmy Kimmel came onto The Ellen Show as a special guest. When he arrived, he had no idea that Ellen DeGeneres had a very special surprise waiting for him. And when he found out, he could barely even contain his emotions.

The two speak about the health problems afflicting Kimmel’s son, Billy. DeGeneres praises Kimmel for using his platform in which he delivered a powerful 13 minute monologue, demanding there be changes made to the American healthcare system. While Kimmel had the money to afford his son’s surgeries, it devastated him to think about how there are families out there who wouldn’t be able to.

During their conversation, DeGeneres tells Kimmel she has a special surprise for him. She reveals that she had gotten ahold of the medical staff who had operated on Billy. And they have dedicated one of the rooms in the hospital to Billy Kimmel, forever making it the Billy Kimmel room. Kimmel clearly struggles to hold back tears, visibly moved by the kind gesture.

Previously, DeGeneres and her viewers were able to raise a million dollars for the hospital. She says that she wants to try and do this again, encouraging viewers to visit her website to raise another million. It was all very touching and many fans watching were likely tearing up just as much as Kimmel.
