Kimmel: Oprah Winfrey talks about running for president in 2020

After rumors have been swirling for weeks about Oprah Winfrey running for president in 2020, Oprah herself took to Jimmy Kimmel Live to speak about it.

So, is Oprah Winfrey running for president, or is she not? We finally have an official answer straight from the woman herself!

Recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Oprah stopped by the show for a sitdown interview with Jimmy Kimmel. To not address the presidential campaign she was rumored to be taking on in 2020 would be like ignoring the elephant in the room. So, at the start of the interview, Kimmel gets right to it, asking her to clarify whether she’s running for president or not.

“I am definitely not running for president,” Oprah says, looking directly into the camera. This prompts some boos from the studio audience, but as she explains, it was never her intention to start those rumors. From her viewpoint, all she did was deliver a powerful speech she was proud of, and then thought it was over. Moments later, however, she was told that she was trending online and learned about the mumblings of an Oprah for president campaign in 2020.
