Kimmel: Drake inspires Guillermo to recreate God’s Plan video
By Jeremy Dick
After Drake made a touching video for God’s Plan where he gave tons of money away, Jimmy Kimmel Live’s Guillermo was inspired to do something similar.
Who did it better, Guillermo or Drake? Well, Drake… but this is still really funny!
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy Kimmel let his pal Guillermo have some time to shine. Kimmel first explains how people were talking about Drake’s video for “God’s Plan” which saw him giving away tons of money. It’s very popular and inspiring for a lot of people, with one of them happening to be Guillermo.
Of course, Guillermo doesn’t exactly have the same amount of money to throw away as Drake does. In fact, the budget for Guillermo’s video is only $100. To stretch that cash out, he heads to the 99 cent store with a megaphone, telling customers he’s willing to buy them each one item only.
As Drake music plays, Guillermo cruises throughout the store with his fat stack of one dollar bills. He starts handing them away, and people seem to be a bit more confused than anything else. Most of them take the dollars, but not everyone does, just wanting to get away from Guillermo instead. Maybe it’s not as charitable as what Drake has done, but everyone in the store still seemed pretty amused by it.
