Jimmy Kimmel mocks Donald Trump over Fire and Fury book
By Jeremy Dick
With the new Donald Trump tell-all book Fire and Fury hitting bookstores, Jimmy Kimmel is having a laugh at what’s inside the book, and Trump’s reaction.
Fire and Fury is the book Donald Trump doesn’t want you to read… and Jimmy Kimmel is loving it.
On Friday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel spoke about how Trump is having what seems to be the worst week of his presidency. The release of a tell-all book about Trump’s White House has gotten the president pretty riled up, causing him to lash out on Twitter. He gives Steve Bannon, Trump’s former ally who was interviewed for the book, the new nickname of “Sloppy Steve.”
“I have to admit it’s a good one,” Kimmel says of the nickname, saying of all the nicknames he’s given people, this one fits. Kimmel is entertained by a follow-up tweet from Trump, saying Bannon is the leaker “known” as Sloppy Steve. “He wasn’t known as Sloppy Steve Bannon,” Kimmel laughs. “You named him that yesterday!”
Kimmel then plays a clip of the author, Michael Wolff, commenting about the book. The focus of Fire and Fury suggests that everyone who knows Trump questions his ability to hold office. Wolff makes it clear that “100%” of the people around Trump question his intelligence, just so there’s no confusion. “That’s almost all of them, right?” Kimmel asks sarcastically.
