Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, January 6th?

Will there be an all new episode of Saturday Night Live premiering tonight, the night of January 6th, 2017? We have all of the details on tonight’s show.

Season 43 has been a great season of Saturday Night Live thus far, and many fans are eager of the show’s return. So, will tonight’s episode of SNL be a new one to kick off 2018?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, as tonight is a repeat episode featuring host Chance the Rapper with musical guest Eminem. This was one of the best episodes of the season so far and it’s definitely worth watching for those who’ve missed it. But we’re all no doubt waiting for the show’s return, so when will that be?

The good news here is that the show is coming back next week on January 13. Broadway actor Sam Rockwell will be hosting for the first time, with Halsey performing as the musical guest. Because this will be kicking off the first episode of the year, I would bet money that Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump will be showing up on the program as well. Especially in the wake of this new tell-all book about Trump’s White House, which SNL will no doubt do great things with.
