NBC is looking to capture lightning in a bottle once again with The Office, as an all new reboot (sans Steve Carell) is set to premiere next year.

Are you ready to clock back in at Dunder-Mifflin?

According to the fine folks over at ScreenRant, it’s looking like the doors to The Office haven’t been boarded up just yet. In fact, NBC is now looking to reboot the series with a fresh start. Running from 2005 to 2013, the show proved to be a massive hit for the network, and thought 2013 wasn’t that long ago, NBC is jump-starting a fresh reboot of the series.

When the series first ended, Rainn Wilson teased that a spin-off about his family may be coming next known as The Farm. Now that multiple years have passed since those discussions, it doesn’t seem like that show will ever see the light of day. So now NBC is heading back to Scranton’s Dunder-Mifflin offices to continue where we left off with the original story.

Of course, the new show will not contain Steve Carell. The reboot is said to feature a mix of new faces with familiar ones, suggesting some of the original cast will be returning. Beyond that, there isn’t a clue given as to who those characters will be. But if the show ends up doing well I think we can at least expect a cameo or two from some of the missing key members.
